Description
Mycoplasma pneumonia is one type of atypical pneumonia. Mycoplasma pneumonia is a bacterial infection in the respiratory tract caused by the bacterium Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Mycoplasma pneumonia is sometimes regarded as a rather mild infection, but symptoms can be prolonged if pneumonia is not treated promptly with correct and quickly.
Symptoms
Symptoms are usually mild and appear over a period of 1 to 3 weeks. They may become more severe in some people. Common symptoms include:
headache, fever (possibly higher), chills, excessive sweating, dry cough, slimy cough. chest pain, or sore throat.
Symptoms are rarely appears in people include: rash, eye pain, or pain, muscle pain and stiffness of joints, lumps in the neck, and ear pain.
Prevention
Infants and health of people who are vulnerable, people with HIV, patients with organ transplants, or other conditions, should avoid contact with people with mycoplasma pneumonia.
